The Business Support Centres in Khmelnytskyi and Lviv are teaming up with the support of the EBRD and EU4Business to organise a forum on river tourism around the Dniester.
During 4 days in 2 different locations – in Lomachynci on 16-17 July and in Truskavets on 18-19 July – the ‘Dniester: 1,362km of profits’ forum will talk about the development of tourism around rivers in Europe and Ukraine, on how to attract investment for tourism businesses, on developing a comprehensive marketing and innovative approach to attracting tourists, as well as joining forces to achieve a more clear result in a certain direction.
The forum will also present a new tool for promoting tourism on the Dniester – an online resource called the ‘Dniester portal’.
The forum aims to meet the following objectives:
- Attract the attention of business to the opportunities of interregional cooperation for the development of a tourism ecosystem in the Dniester basin;
- Stimulate the expansion of best business practices and innovative business models;
- Carry out a systematic review of the tourism, related to freshwater resources.
The Khmelnytskyi and Lviv Business Support Centres are part of the EU-funded Network of Business Support Centres, which aims to improve the competitiveness and bankability of Ukrainian SMEs through the provision of business advice and capacity building. It also supports BSOs in 15 regions of Ukraine in setting up a network of EU4Business Business Support Centres (BSCs). At least 30,000 SMEs and entrepreneurs benefit from the project.
