A conference takes place in Tbilisi on 12 March, on the subject of ‘Georgian Fruits and Berries: Efficiency in Production and Marketing’.
The conference is organised by the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Union (EU) under EU4Business initiative, in partnership with the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
At the conference, producers will familiarise themselves with best international practices in the field of apple, pear and berry production, preservation, processing and marketing. Available local and international investment opportunities will be discussed in detail at the conference.
The participants will be addressed by Levan Davitashvili, Minister for Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, as well as representatives from the FAO, EBRD and EU, experts from Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia and Sweden. The conference will be followed by two trainings. On 13 March, participants will have the opportunity to pay a business visit to the Xichateli company.
