The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is holding a workshop with the support of EU4Business on ‘Best Practices in the Food Production Sector’ in Minsk on 20 November. 

The workshop is aimed at companies working in the food industry (processing of meat, fish, poultry, freezing of vegetables and fruits, etc.).

The workshop will be led by international food industry expert Jane Riegler-Firecloth from the UK and marketing and promotion specialist Gabriel Venancio from France, who will share their insight into global trends in the development of the processing segment, competition challenges and features of company promotion to foreign markets.

Jane Riegler-Fireclothhas 20 years of experience in supply chain management, business processesdesign, change management, logistics and manufacturing. She has excellent knowledge of the food industry, working with world players in Central and Eastern Europe and Russia.

Gabriel Venanciois an international expert in marketing and sales. His areas of expertise are marketing and advertising campaigns, marketing research, marketing loyalty programmes, packaging design and development, BTL strategies, and pricing management. He has work experience in beverage, food, and pastry products.

The training is part of the EBRD’s EU-funded Advice for Small Businesses programme under the EU4Business initiative. The programme aims to promote good management in the SME sector by providing technical assistance to individual enterprises, helping them to grow their businesses. The programme also seeks to enable SMEs to access local consulting services on a cost-sharing basis, and aims to develop a sustainable infrastructure of business advisory services, ensuring improved services for SMEs across the Eastern Partnership region.
