The International Trade Centre in Ukraine is organising a training in Odessa on ‘how to write market profiles’, aimed at representatives of the fruit and vegetable sector. The training on 17-19 September is part of the EU4Business project ‘Eastern Partnership: Ready to Trade’.
Understanding which are the more attractive markets for a product requires a structured approach. Data and market research are needed to define which are the most attractive markets from a demand size and behaviour standpoint, and to assess whether market access conditions make those markets an attractive proposition or not.
The workshop will seek to address these issues, working in groups to ensure there is real work achieved. Participants will take away the actual capacity to get return to their offices and start working on writing their own market profiles.
The workshop takes place over 3 days, and to be successful participants must:
- have good command of English
- have one computer available per participant with WI-FI access
- be the represenanative of a business association, consulting agency or business support institution that works in the fruit and vegetable sector
- be prepared in advance so that participants can come having done some basic ground work preparation guided by the facilitator.
The Eastern Partnership: Ready to Trade project helps small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to access new markets with a focus on the EU, helping SMEs identify and comply with quality and standards to meet international requirements, linking them with buyers along the value chain, and providing cluster support.
