Armenia’s Vanadzor city will host the second Engineering Forum-Expo that will take place at Vanadzor Technology Centre (VTC) on 7 July, supported by the EU through its EU4Business SMEDA project.
The Forum-Expo aims to demonstrate the latest achievements of the engineering sector in Armenia and discuss engineering education and business environment challenges, as well as global developments in the industry. The event will bring together representatives from the engineering and manufacturing sectors, who will exchange experience and ideas regarding electronics, communication technologies and 5G, mathematical simulation un-manned vehicles, automative, bio-engineering and chemistry, Big data, etc.
Over 300 participants are expected at the Forum-Expo including representatives from state, research, educational and donor organisations, start-ups and existing engineering companies from Armenia and abroad. More than 35 local and international company representatives will present their products, solutions and services during the expo.
The Engineering Expo-Forum is organised by the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF), Vanadzor Technology Centre (VTC) and Engineering Association in partnership with the Government of Armenia and the European Union through its EU4Business “Support to SME Development in Armenia” (EU-SMEDA) project, as well as a range of other public and private sector partners.
The EU4Business SMEDA project supports the improvement of the business and investment climate for SMEs in Armenia. It aims to strengthen the private sector, support SME coordination mechanisms, and foster links between research institutions and the private sector, as well as providing access to finance for SMEs.
