The Ukrainian Export Promotion Office is organising an event in Lutsk on 12 February on ‘Female entrepreneurship and access to foreign markets’. The event is part of the ‘She Exports’ platform’s series of meetings in the World business café format to exchange experiences among women entrepreneurs seeking to develop exports of goods and services.
The event is aimed to provide new business contacts, to exchange experience between women who own businesses or hold key positions, and to discuss with a cup of coffee various aspects of women’s entrepreneurship and strategies for entering foreign markets (in particular, what barriers exist on the way to external markets and how export support services could help overcome these barriers).
The European Union’s EU4Business initiative also supports women entrepreneurs in Ukraine through its Women in Business programme, which helps women-led SMEs to access the finance and the know-how they need to grow. Under the programme, the EBRD provides business advice to women-led SMEs to help businesses become more competitive.
