The EU4Business FORBIZ project is organising a workshop for Ukrainian Entrepreneurs in Kyiv on 30 January on how best to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), a free online tool created with the support of the European Commission to help businesses find overseas partners.
The Enterprise Europe Network is an information network that was created in 2008 and has united 66 countries, including 28 EU countries, with more than 50,000 businesses from 17 industries. With the EEN, Ukrainian producers have access to:
- potential European partners,
- information about B2C meetings,
- opportunities for scientific cooperation, advisory and innovation support.
Ukrainian entrepreneurs are already actively using the opportunities of the network - more than 70 requests for partnership were published, and more than 150 companies receive mailing list with partnership offers. Several companies are in the process of active negotiations, and there are already successful stories of signing a contract with foreign partners. Among the successful network users are companies representing various industries, including Agromat, RS Quantum, ITW Systems and others.
During the workshop all participants with the help of invited specialists will be able to:
- register online and set up mailing with partnership offers
- find potential buyers or suppliers and send them proposals on partnership
- prepare their company profile with a partnership request for online placement.
The workshop is organised by the EEN-Ukraine Consortium, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine together with the Export Promotion Office, with the support of the EU technical assistance project ‘FORBIZ - Creating a Better Business Environment’.
Funded by the European Union under the EU4Business initiative, the FORBIZ project supports Ukraine’s reform agenda and its economic recovery by proposing a systemic, smart change to a more business-friendly environment with a particular focus on SMEs. The project seeks to steer a shift in policy towards greater recognition of SMEs and the vital role they play in economic recovery, while addressing the challenge of reducing regulatory burden and lessening risk for businesses.
