The EU4Business ‘Support to SME development in Armenia’ (SMEDA) project is inviting Armenian Business Membership Organisations (BMOs) to participate in a BMO Academy, to take place over three weeks between February and April 2018. The deadline for applications is 26 January.
The aim of the academy is:
• to enhance the private sector’s capacities to organise itself as professional associations, which is essential prerequisite for a constructive dialogue with the authorities,
• to ensure a coherent and effective dialogue when defining economic and sectoral policies.
The academy will be broken down into three weeks:
WEEK 1 Training: Providing training, with information e.g. on development of membership directory, communication (internal and external), surveys (periodical surveys to reveal the needs of members), lobbying/advocacy
WEEK 2 Practicum in Europe: Knowledge gained on European BMOs’ experience with providing services to their members, successfully participating in PPD, increasing their membership, etc.
WEEK 3 Training/Coaching: On the Job training/coaching of the participants.
Up to 10 applicants will be selected.
The EU4Business SMEDA project supports the improvement of the business and investment climate for SMEs in Armenia. It aims to strengthen the private sector, support SME coordination mechanisms, and foster links between research institutions and the private sector, as well as providing access to finance for SMEs.
