Round table to highlight opportunities in market for organic products

On 30 November, the Better Regulation Delivery Office (BRDO) in Ukraine is organising a round table in Lutsk on SME opportunities in the market for organic products, with the support of EU4Business and the FORBIZ project.

At the event, the BRDO will present its Green Book on ‘Regulation of production and turnover of organic products market’

Key topics for discussion will include:

  • Agrochemical passport – necessity or additional burden for certification of organic crops?
  • Barriers to organic business development in Ukraine and how to overcome them
  • Perspectives and export potential for organic products
  • State control and business integrity - balance or confrontation?

Speakers include:

  • Yuriy Gorbenko, Director of Department for Agricultural Development of Volyn Regional State Administration
  • Bohdan Lozinsky, Head of the Main Department of the Civil Service of Ukraine on issues of food safety and consumer protection in Volyn region
  • Mykola Zinchuk, Director of the Volyn branch of the State Institution "Institute of Protection of soils of Ukraine "
  • Nikolay Yuskovets, Director, LLC "Staryi Porytsk"
  • Claudeen Exbrayat, Director, LLC “Bio-Farm Agrotrade Ltd”
Part of the EU4Business initiative, the EU-funded FORBIZ project supports Ukraine’s reform agenda and its economic recovery by proposing a systemic change to a more business-friendly environment with a particular focus on SMEs. The project seeks to steer a shift in policy towards greater recognition of SMEs and the vital role they play in economic recovery, while addressing the challenge of reducing regulatory burden and lessening risk for businesses.
