EU4Business is offering owners and mangers of SMEs who plan to start exporting the opportunity to take part in a three-day export training on 20-22 December, hosted by the Khmelnytsky Business Support Centre, part of the EU-funded Network of Business Support Centres, implemented by the EBRD in Ukraine. The deadly for registration is 30 November.
During the course, participants will examine their aims and strategy for entering export markets, with the training helping them to:
- understand the importance of proper market research;
- study different routes to the market;
- focus on the value proposition;
- understand how they will compete in export markets in a rapidly changing international market;
- prepare their business prior to exporting from a practical point of view - develop an Export Growth Strategy and Action Plan.
The course also includes 90-minute personal mentor sessions to help participants and their team implement strategies and action plans for increasing exports.
The training will be conducted by Roddy Feely, director of the Irish international consulting company Strategy Crowd, which works with SMEs and startups to expand their international sales and build export development strategies.
The course will be delivered in English with simultaneous translation to Ukrainian.
The Khmelnytsky Business Support Centre is part of the EU-funded Network of Business Support Centres, which aims to improve the competitiveness and bankability of Ukrainian SMEs through the provision of business advice and capacity building. It also supports BSOs in 15 regions of Ukraine in setting up a network of EU4Business Business Support Centres (BSCs). At least 30,000 SMEs and entrepreneurs will benefit from the project.

Thanks to the support of the EU, the reduced price of the three-day training is UAH 2,430. The cost of the training includes hand-outs, light breakfasts, coffee breaks and lunches, as well as 90 minutes of personal counselling/mentoring sessions during the two months after the training.
