The programme provides sustainable community development and enhances the capacity of civil society organisations (CSOs) to generate income via social entrepreneurship projects.
Objectives
- To contribute to sustainable community development;
- Increased emphasis on social entrepreneurship approach as a tool for financial sustainability of NGOs;
- Community development process is empowered by innovative approach of social entrepreneurship
- Improved capacity for action in social entrepreneurship among CSOs.
Beneficiaries
CSOs from the following regions of Armenia: Kotayk, Gegharkunik, Shirak, Syunik, Lori, Tavush and Vayots Dzor.
Activities
- Needs assessment;
- Development of training modules;
- Core trainings for 20 selected beneficiaries;
- Finalisation of social entrepreneurship ideas and establishment of start-up consultancy service;
- Donor and resource mobilisation for funding ideas;
- Seed money procedure for all actors;
- Launch of incubation service for stakeholders.
Results
10 social enterprises have already been established and running in the communities.
