New online tool helps Ukrainian entrepreneurs cut through the red tape of starting a new business

To make the process of starting a new business easier, a new online tool helps Ukrainian entrepreneurs find the correct permits and file the right paperwork.

Although many of us have dreamed about starting our own business, for many, it has remained exactly that: a dream. The daunting tasks of understanding the rules and regulations, finding the right permits and filing the correct paperwork leaves many potential entrepreneurs confused about where to begin.

A new online tool, an initiative of the Better Regulation Delivery Office (BRDO) and EU4Business, helps guide entrepreneurs through the regulatory process of launching a new business in Ukraine. To start, simply click on the type of business you want to open and answer a few basic background questions (type of entity, tax status, etc.). The tool then creates a checklist of all the required documentation, estimated amount of time each step will take to complete, where to go for a permit – and more.

The service is currently in test mode and feedback is welcomed.
