The 4th industrial revolution represents an attractive opportunity for Armenia to become a tech hub for global markets, according to a new report on the country’s competitiveness by Armenian management consultants EV Consulting.
The firm is presenting its National Competitiveness Repot of Armenia 2017, co-funded by the EU4Business Support to SME Development in Armenia (SMEDA) project, at a launch event on 14 July in the Tumo Center for Creative Technologies in Yerevan.
Disruptive technologies an opportunity for Armenian startups
“The 4th Industrial Revolution is characterised by a group of disruptive technologies expected to have an unprecedented economic impact globally,” the report explains.
“Armenia can greatly benefit from disruptive technologies… they open attractive opportunities for Armenia to create and deliver solutions for global markets… if Armenia nurtures startups focused on disruptive technologies.”
Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan is to give the keynote speech at the event, in which he will outline the Government’s agenda in the context of disruptive technologies.
Manuk Hergnyan, managing partner at EV Consulting, will present the report’s findings, which will be followed by an open discussion. The event will end with coffee and an opportunity for networking.
