The first regional Women Entrepreneurs Club (WE Club) has been launched in Goris, in the Syunik Region of Armenia, with the support of EU4Business and the EU-SMEDA project.

Local businesswomen, as well as men, gathered to discuss the business-related challenges they face, establish new connections and network. They had the opportunity to get advice and tips on business management, marketing and branding from invited leading specialists.

The WE club was also attended by a group of Syrian-Armenian businesswomen, who were there to present their success stories and establish new business connections.

The WE Clubs are an initiative of the EU-SMEDA project, aiming to establish an effective platform for capacity building, establishing business connections and networking for Armenian women entrepreneurs. It is held on a monthly basis.

The EU4Business SMEDA (Support to SME Development in Armenia) project supports the improvement of the business and investment climate for SMEs in Armenia. It aims to strengthen the private sector, support SME coordination mechanisms, and foster links between research institutions and the private sector, as well as providing access to finance for SMEs.
