Week-long e-commerce training for textile and clothing SMEs in Belarus

E-commerce training for textile and clothing SMEs in Belarus
Belarus
 |

Twenty-two textile and clothing SMEs from across Belarus took part in a week-long training on digital trade and exports held in Brest from May 13-17. The training was organised by the International Trade Centre, with the support of the Belarusian Fund for Financial Support to Entrepreneurs, within the framework of the ‘Eastern Partnership - Ready to Trade’ project, funded by the European Union as part of its EU4Business initiative.

Participants learned about the potential of cross-border e-commerce for fashion companies, about marketing content, e-logistics and returns management, deepened their understanding of the requirements for labelling and packaging of apparel products for cross-border e-commerce exports, and shared best practices on omnichannel customer support and digital marketing strategies.

The knowledge acquired will allow Belarusian fashion enterprises better to understand corporate, legal, fiscal and other requirements to access the EU market, will help them link to key payment solutions and international platforms for cross-border e-commerce, and ultimately increase their export sales on the EU market.

The Ready to Trade project, funded by the European Union under its EU4Business initiative, enables small and medium-sized enterprises to access international markets. In Belarus, the project supports the textile and clothing sector, helping SMEs produce value-added goods and find new buyers in the EU.
