The International Trade Centre (ITC) in partnership with the Ukrainian Berries Association (UBA) has developed and published the first edition of a catalogue on Ukrainian export-oriented SMEs in the berries sector, as part of the EU-funded project, ‘Eastern Partnership: Ready to Trade – an EU4Business initiative’.

The catalogue was created to support one of the project’s objectives: to enhance business opportunities and development for the participants and beneficiaries. The first edition contains company profiles of 24 Ukrainian SMEs, which are grouped in three sections: fresh, semi-processed and processed berries.

The catalogue will contribute towards better exposure of Ukrainian export-oriented SMEs engaged in the berries sector during the most important international food exhibitions, trade fairs, B2B meetings and business tours.

The catalogue will be presented during the SIAL trade fair in Paris from 21-25 October.

The second edition of the catalogue is planned to be launched at the Fruit Logistica trade fair in Berlin in February 2019 and will include additional profiles of SMEs from the fresh berries sector in Ukraine.

The project is striving to include the maximum number of Ukrainian export-oriented SMEs engaged in the berries sector into the catalogue by the end of the project, helping to strengthen the sector’s export potential.

The Eastern Partnership: Ready to Trade project helps small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to access new markets with a focus on the EU, helping SMEs identify and comply with quality and standards to meet international requirements, linking them with buyers along the value chain, and providing cluster support.
