A number of SME managers took part in a recent EU4Business conference in Kyiv, where they considered the development of their company and ways to take their business to a new level. The open event took place on November 22, at the Kyiv Business Support Centre, with EBRD support under the EU4Business initiative.

Leading experts in strategic management, marketing and public relations, as well as successful businessmen and lawyers took part in the conference around the theme of ‘Company Development Strategy: How to Bring Business to a New Level’, looking at enterprise strategy and the needs of modern markets.

The EBRD’s Coordinator of Projects for SME financing and development, Olga Ivanchenko, also presented funding and advisory opportunities available to SMEs.

"Within the framework of the programme, we help you make business diagnostics, identify bottle neck in the development of your business, i.e. to make a comprehensive assessment and provide consultants who specialize in your issue," Olga Ivanchenko explained.

The Kyiv Business Support Centre is part of the EU-funded Network of Business Support Centres, which aims to improve the competitiveness and bankability of Ukrainian SMEs through the provision of business advice and capacity building. It also supports BSOs in 15 regions of Ukraine in setting up a network of EU4Business Business Support Centres (BSCs). At least 30,000 SMEs and entrepreneurs benefit from the project.
