SME events and trainings across Ukraine: plan ahead for November

A number of EU4Business events and trainings will be taking place in towns and cities across Ukraine in November, targeted at SMEs and entrepreneurs.

They include a number of business forums and round table discussions around issues ranging from farming to exports, regulation to creative economy. Check out the events near you and make sure you register for participation.

There are also several trainings for SMEs and women entrepreneurs. Follow the links for more details on how to apply.

 

Business events

1-2/11 – Zaporizhzhye – Forum: ‘Strengthening the capacity of farmers through the development of horticulture and the cultivation of new niche crops’deadline for registration 27/10 (EU4Business Business Support Centres) Questions addressed include how to give a new impulse to the growth of small and medium-sized farms, how to increase competitiveness and expand exports, and how to improve after-harvesting production and increase sales of agrarian products.

3/11 – Kyiv – BRDO round table: ‘Self-regulation in Ukraine: balancing the interests of business, state, and consumers’ – participants should register online (FORBIZ) Issues to be discussed include self-regulation reform in Ukraine, why and for who is self-regulation needed, the difference between self-regulation and co-regulation, and the absence of framework law.

8/11 – Kramatorsk – ‘East Export Forum 2017’ – prior registration required (EU4Business Business Support Centres) The Forum is aimed at increasing the competitiveness of local SMEs on foreign markets, in particular the EU market, informing businesses about the advantages and potential of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, as well as the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Canada.

9/11 – Sumy – Forum: ‘Sumy Tourism Cluster - for Creation and Online Promotion’ – deadline for registration 6 November (EU4Business Business Support Centres). The forum aims to agree on a joint action plan for the formation of a tourist cluster in the Sumy region for the further successful promotion of goods and services.

13/11 – Odessa – Round table: ‘Farmer Boom 2017’ (EU4Business Business Support Centres) The discussion will address the challenges of cost and quality of feed and seed materials, difficulties with product sales and small profits, and the search for resources for competitiveness and development.

13-14/11 – Kropyvnytsky – Business seminar: ‘Sustainable Development Model for Companies in the Agricultural Sector’ – deadline for registration 7 November (EU4Business Business Support Centres). The seminar aims to boost the organisational potential of enterprises in the agricultural sector and to provide participants with the tools necessary to ensure the sustainable development of their business enterprise.

21/11 – Ivano-Frankivsk – Forum: ‘Business Trends 2018’ – prior registration required (EU4Business Business Support Centres) The Forum aims to share best practices from top experts, practitioners in the field of strategic management and promotion of business on the Internet.

23-24 – Vinnytsia – Business forum: ‘VinExpo 2017’ – deadline for registration 16 November (EU4Business Business Support Centres) The Forum aims to expand the export potential of Ukrainian SMEs, discuss practical experience and facilitate the entry of Ukrainian companies into international markets through discussion of the most important issues of export activity and the presentation of SME support programmes.

24-25/11 – Lviv – Business event: ‘Creative Economy Days’ (EU4Business Business Support Centres) The event will present best practices from Europe, case studies, discussions and workshops from market leaders in the industrial design industry. It will also present the results of a survey on the current state of the industrial design market in Ukraine.

 

Trainings

2-3/11 – Sumy – ‘Keys to financial management’, second part of training for women entrepreneurs – registration closed (EU4Business Business Support Centres) How to increase the profits of your company, how to identify risks, develop a financial management system, and deal with banks.

6-7/11 – Kramatorsk – ‘From Entrepreneur to Enterprise. Corporate Governance for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises’, second part of training for women entrepreneurs – registration closed (EU4Business Business Support Centres) An interactive course, based on international best practices but tailored to local particularities, and specifically designed for women in business.

9-10/11 – Lviv – ‘From Entrepreneur to Enterprise. Corporate Governance for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises’, second part of training for women entrepreneurs – registration closed (EU4Business Business Support Centres) An interactive course, based on international best practices but tailored to local particularities, and specifically designed for women in business.

14-16/11 – Lviv – ‘Business Diagnostics for Consulting’, EBRD training for business consultants – deadline for registration 3 November (EU4Business Business Support Centres). A practical three-day course to enhance analytical and counselling skills of participants and help them deliver results that truly meet the needs of their clients.

27-28/11 - Ivano-Frankivsk - ‘Going digital: training opportunity for women in business’, second part of training for women entrepreneurs – registration closed (EU4Business Business Support Centres). An interactive course aimed at women managers or business owners who want to take their company to a new level, by developing their business in the online environment and attracting customers through the Internet.

27-29/11 – Vinnytsya – ‘Export Promotion for SMEs - Ready to Export’ – registration details to follow (EU4Business Business Support Centres) The training covers the basics of export activity and preparation for export, EU and international trade, and export development plans.

30/11-01/12 – Vinnytsya – ‘Leadership in Action’ first part of training for women entrepreneurs – registration details to follow (EU4Business Business Support Centres) The training is aimed at women in business who are in senior management positions, and seeks to teach participants leadership and effective management of their business and staff.
