More than 200 local entrepreneurs gathered in Ivano-Frankivsk on 30 November for the ‘Business Trends 2018’ forum, organised by the local Business Support Centre, within the framework of the EU4Business initiative of the European Union, with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The business trends discussed were split into two sessions – one on strategy and business models, and the other on business development on the internet – with issues addressed including consumer trends, how to choose the right business companion, creativity in business, as well as internet marketing strategies and how to attract clients online, social networking and start management.

Participants also heard about business development opportunities from EU4Business and the EBRD.

They also took part in a large-scale Business Networking event, during which they established more than a hundred business contacts.

In 2018, the Ivano-Frankivsk Business Support Centre plans to organise more than 10 actions on education, networking and business development in the region.

The Ivano-Frankivsk Business Support Centre is part of the EU-funded Network of Business Support Centres, which aims to improve the competitiveness and bankability of Ukrainian SMEs through the provision of business advice and capacity building. It also supports BSOs in 15 regions of Ukraine in setting up a network of EU4Business Business Support Centres (BSCs). At least 30,000 SMEs and entrepreneurs will benefit from the project.
