The EU4Business project ‘Georgia on European Way: Creation of Effective Model for DCFTA and SME Strategy Implementation’ has issued a call for project proposals from Georgian civil society organisations. The deadline for applications is 31 May.

The EU-funded project aims to increase and support Georgian civil society organisations’ role in raising public awareness, understanding and support for implementation of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA).

The sub-grants to regional civil society organisations seek to support CSOs in contributing to on-going discussions and awareness raising about DCFTA implementation, and to help them become active actors in their respective communities and to engage and inform the public, especially SMEs, about DCFTA opportunities.

The sub-granting will be based on the two following topics

  1. Awareness raising about DCFTA among the Georgian public;
  2. Awareness raising about DCFTA among regional small and medium enterprises and public servants

In total, 60 grants of to €1,000 will be distributed by ensuring equal distribution within topics I & II, as well as geographical coverage of all 9 Georgian regions and the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.

Applicants must be registered civil society organisations from any of 9 Georgian regions or the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. Organisations registered and based in Tbilisi are ineligible to apply.

Application procedure:

Project proposal with all required documents has to be submitted by May 31, 2018 via email at info@gip.ge.

See call for proposals for full details of application and required documents.
