The National Agency for Rural Development (ACSA) is organising an information campaign to raise awareness of opportunities available under the EU4Businees Fruit Garden of Moldova project, with seminars in 30 districts all over Moldova taking place between November and February.

Fruit Garden of Moldova is part of the EU-funded DCFTA Initiative East, implemented by the European Investment Bank under the EU4Business initiative.

The seminars will sensitise farmers on the benefits and risks of horticulture, the opportunities offered by the Fruit Garden of Moldova project, as well as the conditions and procedures linked to accessing loans. It will also introduce auxiliary schemes and instruments (such as state subsidies, donor grants and credit guarantees). The events will also include visits to beneficiaries of past horticultural investments made by small and medium-sized farmers in the vicinity.

The seminars will take place between November 2018 and February 2019. The date and venue of each seminar will be published on the ACSA and Livada-Moldovei websites.

The DCFTA Initiative East – funded by the EU under the EU4Business initiative – aims to strengthen economic development in the countries which have signed an association agreement with the EU - namely Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine - by providing targeted financial and technical support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in these three countries.
