“There is a myth that women cannot manage finances. It's not like that," consultant Kyrylo Lynnyk told participants in a training for women entrepreneurs organised by the EBRD and the EU4Business initiative in Zaporizhzhya on 26 October.

This was confirmed by the participants of the training - successful business ladies from the Zaporizhzhya region, managers and owners of small and medium-sized businesses working in the field of mechanical engineering, agriculture, alternative energy, tourism, consulting services, and logistics.

They were attending the first module of the ‘Keys to Financial Management’ training at the Business Support Centre in Zaporizhzhya. The training is based on the best international practices, taking into account Ukrainian specifics, and uses profound expert knowledge. The course is interactive and includes practical exercises and real examples.

Opening the event, a representative from the EBRD urged participants to get the most information that can be applied effectively in business, help improve their performance and move forward.

The tutors - experienced trainers, EBRD-accredited consultants, Egor Yegorushkin and Kyrylo Lynnyk – specialise in financial management training for company owners and executives. The course is specifically designed for women in business and consists of two modules, both of two days. In a break between training, participants will have time to apply in practice the knowledge gained during the first session and prepare questions for the second module.

The Zaporizhzhya Business Support Centre is part of the EU-funded Network of Business Support Centres, which aims to improve the competitiveness and bankability of Ukrainian SMEs through the provision of business advice and capacity building. It also supports BSOs in 15 regions of Ukraine in setting up a network of EU4Business Business Support Centres (BSCs). At least 30,000 SMEs and entrepreneurs benefit from the project.
