Women entrepreneurs in Ivano-Frankivsk were last month taught how to make their own business even more successful with the help of digital marketing, by taking part in an EU4Business training titled ‘Going Digital. The Practical Application of Digital Marketing Tools for Women Entrepreneurs’. The training was organised by the local Business Support Centre as part of the EU4Business initiative of the European Union, with the support of the EBRD.

The course gave participants a clear understanding of what marketing is – in particular online marketing – and how it works in practice, and helped them successfully to position and sell their services or products online. The training was based on best international practices in digital marketing and a wide range of expert knowledge.

The course was part of the EBRD's ‘Women in Business’ programme, implemented in Ukraine under the EU4Business initiative, with the aim of supporting SMEs led by women in gaining access to financial resources, consulting support and the know-how necessary for business development. The programme provides business consulting services, trainings, mentoring and other support to enable women entrepreneurs to share experiences and learn from each other.

The Business Support Centre in Ivano-Frankivsk is part of the EBRD Network of Business Support Centres funded by the EU within the framework of the EU4Business initiative aimed at increasing the competitiveness and profitability of Ukrainian SMEs through advisory and capacity-building activities.
