The European Investment Bank (EIB) Group presents the first issue of the DCFTA Initiative East Guarantee Facility newsletter, summarising the progress as at December 2018. The Guarantee Facility aims to ensure improved access to finance for small and medium-sized enterprises ("SMEs") in Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

A video report on the economic forum organised in Chisinau by the European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE) as part of EU4Business on 15 November, around the theme, 'Republic of Moldova: Banking Trends versus Economic Developments’. 
The forum attracted around 100 participants from the local financial sector, as well as from business associations, policy-making bodies, international financial institutions, and local businesses, and focused on the role of local currency financing in supporting MSEs – an important segment of the country’s economy.
