With the support of the EBRD and the EU4Business initiative of the European Union, the Business Support Centre in Rivne is organising a training programme for SMEs on ‘zero waste production’, aimed at improving the organisation of production processes.
The training takes place over two modules, on 9-11 February and 20-22 April. The deadline for registration is 25 January.
The programme will give participants a chance to learn in detail about best practices in introducing specific aspects of lean production.
The training will be based on companies that already have successful work experience and are ready to share their experience. Participants will be able to work with ‘live’ cases and see the possibilities of lean production tools, draw inspiration and implement them in their companies.
Over the two modules, participants will:
- learn about the best practices of lean production implementation;
- explore effective tools to eliminate production losses;
- see how lean production has been implemented in Ukrainian manufacturing companies;
- start developing an individual plan for implementing cost-effective production in their company.
The Rivne Business Support Centre is part of the EU-funded Network of Business Support Centres, which aims to improve the competitiveness and bankability of Ukrainian SMEs through the provision of business advice and capacity building. It also supports BSOs in 15 regions of Ukraine in setting up a network of EU4Business Business Support Centres (BSCs). At least 30,000 SMEs and entrepreneurs will benefit from the project.

The training will take place at the premises of the companies ‘Teremno-Khlib’ in Lutsk city, and Pavlyk in the Zakarpattya region, Tyachiv district.
