
On 1-2 September, the Sumy Business Support Centre, together with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in the framework of the EU4Business initiative, is organising a workshop on ‘the psychology of effective business’
The two-day training is aimed at owners and managers of SME, and the deadline for registration is 27 August.
The purpose of the event is to master skills of effective business communications and learn methods of prevention and constructive solvingof conflict situations.
The first module on ‘the strategy and tactics of effective business communication and business relations’ will include:
- information about psychological models of human behaviour;
- discussion of aspects of business relationships, what constrains they have and ways to overcome them;
- learning different communication styles and ideas for effective communication, as well as techniques for establishing and maintaining contact with companions.
During the first module, participants will also learn how to make a first impression and create a positive image, what are the most common mistakes in negotiations and communications, what are social aspects of business relations and how to work with a reputation.
The second module on ‘methods of prevention and constructive solving of conflict situations’ will provide information about the source of conflicts, active listening techniques, questioning technics, methods of reaching an agreement, techniques for controlling and maintaining an emotional state.
During the second module, participants will also learn how to criticise and respond to criticism, how to deal with manipulations and psychological pressure, and how to deal withobjections.
The Sumy Business Support Centre is part of the EU-funded Network of Business Support Centres, which aims to improve the competitiveness and bankability of Ukrainian SMEs through the provision of business advice and capacity building. It also supports BSOs in 15 regions of Ukraine in setting up a network of EU4Business Business Support Centres (BSCs). At least 30,000 SMEs and entrepreneurs will benefit from the project.
