On 12 October, SMEs in the berry farming industry are invited to a workshop on ‘Planning a new season in organic berry farming’, taking place in Khmelnytskyi in Ukraine.
The workshop is organised by the Khmelnytskyi Business Support Centre together with EBRD, as part of the EU4Business initiative.
The event is divided into two parts: the first a theoretical presentation of methods and technologies for soil assessment and improvement. The second is practical looking at soil assessment in field conditions and soil assessment for raspberry farming.
The training should enable partisipants to:
- learn how to assess soil and its potential;
- select the right soil for raspberry farming;
- select the right organic fertilizer;
- develop methods of soil improvement;
- develop harvest planning for the next 3 years.
The Khmelnytskyi Business Support Centre is part of the EU-funded Network of Business Support Centres, implemented in Ukraine by the EBRD, with the aim of improving improve the competitiveness and bankability of Ukrainian SMEs through the provision of business advice and capacity building. At least 30,000 SMEs and entrepreneurs will benefit from the project.
