The second Women Entrepreneur Talks (WETalks), dedicated to "Women in Creative Industries", organised jointly with the Fashion and Design Chamber of Armenia will take place on 13 July 2019 in Yerevan.
Creative Industries are growing dynamically in Armenia, with a big potential for women to be engaged and become successful entrepreneurs in any of its sub-sectors: fashion and design, film, arts and crafts, etc. Sharing the individual experiences of the invited panelists will encourage Armenian women to think about Creative Industries as a possible success path to consider.
The objective of the WETalks activity is to initiate a dialogue among actors from different industries, civil society, and the public sector on various trending topics by bringing experienced professionals and industry leaders to share their experience and knowledge with youth, mid-career professionals and startups, and to establish a platform for mentoring, internship and job opportunities. WETalks sessions are held every 1-2 months, with each session devoted to one challenging topic, and gather 100+ participants and 6-8 speakers from among industry leaders. The first WE Talks session on the topic of “Women in IT & High-Tech” was successfully conducted on 11 May, 2019. All sessions will be implemented jointly with the partner, beneficiary or stakeholder of the EU-SMEDA project from the related industry/sector.
