The International Trade Centre (ITC) together with the Ukrainian Berries Association (UBA) is organising a one-day training on how to export fresh and frozen berries to Germany on 20 December. The training falls under the framework of the EU-funded project ‘Eastern Partnership: Ready to Trade – an EU4Business initiative’.
The main objective of the training is to provide an overview of the German berry market and practical recommendations on how to export Ukrainian berries towards this target market.
The event is aimed at strengthening the knowledge and understanding of Ukrainian berry exporters towards the German and EU markets, in preparation for the participations of a delegation of conventional and organic berry exporters to FRUIT LOGISTICA 2019, Berlin, and for a delegation of organic berry exporters to BIOFACH 2019, Nuremberg.
Participants will learn about key features of the German berry market such as volumes, export/import, state regulations and requirements, as well as on cooperation with retailers and processors in Germany.
The second part of the training will be devoted to preparation of participants to Fruit Logistica 2019 and Biofach 2019.
The event will take place at the Raziotel, Kyiv on 20 December.
The Eastern Partnership: Ready to Trade project helps small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to access new markets with a focus on the EU, helping SMEs identify and comply with quality and standards to meet international requirements, linking them with buyers along the value chain, and providing cluster support.
