On 21-25 October 2018, the Salon International de l'Agroalimentaire (SIAL), the largest food innovation exhibition in the world, will take place in Paris, France. This trade show is dedicated to the agro-food industry, food retail, and institutional and commercial catering. The International Trade Centre (ITC) jointly with the Ukrainian Berries Association (UBA) is organising the participation of a selected group of Ukrainian berries SMEs, as part of the EU-funded project ‘Eastern Partnership: Ready to Trade –an EU4Business initiative’.
The Ukrainian booth will showcase the variety and quality of Ukrainian berries, as well as fruits and vegetables (another ITC project in Ukraine).
The ITC and the UBA have, as a part of the project, organised a business tour to French berry plantation sites and processors. Additionally, a visit to Rungis, the world’s largest wholesale food market is planned during these days.
Project participants will promote their own products and get acquainted with the world’s best samples, as well as establish important business contacts during the events.
The main objective of this event is to support the Ukrainian berries sector SMEs and to promote their products in the EU market.
The Eastern Partnership: Ready to Trade project helps small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to access new markets with a focus on the EU, helping SMEs identify and comply with quality and standards to meet international requirements, linking them with buyers along the value chain, and providing cluster support.
