‘START-UP OF THE YEAR 2017’, the final start-up event this year, will take place in Minsk on 16 December 2017.
The event will be hosted by the business support centre ‘Start-up Technologies LLC’, supported by the Minsk City Executive Committee and the public corporation Belagroprombank.
The participants of ‘START-UP OF THE YEAR 2017’ can look forward to training sessions offered by business practitioners, themed panel discussions involving business angels and investment fund representatives, expert advice, webinars, presentations on investment projects and start-ups, a business contact exchange, an excursion to Belarus’ ‘Silicon Valley’, an after-party and much, much more. The event will culminate in the ‘Battle of the Start-ups’.
The real business forum ‘Invest Weekend’ will be an important part of the event and will take place at one of the venues hosting the country’s biggest start-up event. Entrepreneurs will present their ideas for business projects in the real economy to investors and big business, and compete for the title of ‘Best Business Project 2017’.
A feature of the event will be the inclusion of themed sections (tracks):
- FinTech (start-ups);
- Blockchain (start-ups);
- LegalTech (start-ups);
- Industry (investment projects);
- Agro & Medtech (investment projects);
- Service industry (investment projects);
- Artificial intelligence & Сomputervision (start-ups);
- Internet of Things, IoT (start-ups);
- Education (start-ups);
- Retail & Е-Commerce (start-ups); and
- Power & Energy (start-ups/investment projects).
All the projects will be assessed by an expert jury and the winners of the competition will receive cash prizes and gifts.
The ‘START-UP OF THE YEAR 2017’ event will bring together more than 500 participants from Europe, the US and Asia, including 10 speakers, 30 investors, and representatives from 10 corporations.
Panel discussions and themed training sessions will take place during the course of the event, and there will be an exhibition area where companies will display and present their products, solutions and services.
