On 16 May, the Mykolaiv Business Support Centre is organising a round table on the marine services industry, with the support of the EBRD and the EU4Business initiative.
The event is aimed at owners and managers of companies in the field of shipbuilding and ship repair, coastal services as well as for persons interested in starting a business in these fields.
This is the second time the roundtable will be held. Last year, participants formed an interregional working group on the development of maritime services based on the discussion. The working group prepared a concept for the creation of a Cluster and formed the list of enterprises ready to join the Cluster in order to facilitate industry development.
During the roundtable, organisers will announce the creation of a Maritime Cluster as well as define the priority areas for action and specific list of activities for further work.
The meeting will be an opportunity to discuss the state of maritime services in Ukraine, existing opportunities and barriers for the development of this business, and models of industry development.
The Mykolaiv Business Support Centre is part of the EU-funded Network of Business Support Centres, implemented in Ukraine by the EBRD, with the aim of improving improve the competitiveness and bankability of Ukrainian SMEs through the provision of business advice and capacity building. At least 30,000 SMEs and entrepreneurs will benefit from the project.
