From 3-8 May, the International Trade Centre will hold multiple practical workshops on the basics of cross-border e-ecommerce for a pilot group of Azeri enterprises.
The week-long training – part of the EU4Business project ‘Eastern Partnership: Ready to Trade’, funded by the European Union – will start with advanced sessions to train local trainers, who will then later in the week (7-8 May) assist in three training sessions for SMEs in the target product groups of agri-processing and handicrafts.
Each training session will last 4 hours with a maximum of 5-6 companies, and will include an introduction to a methodology of naming & identifying products, taking good photos, making descriptions, creating semantic SKUs, generating barcodes and printing labels for export. Each SME should be able to fully digitize and upload at least one product during the workshop.
The trainers will also provide coaching to the enterprises all along the project duration, with the support of ITC specialists.
The aim of this activity is to better prepare Azeri SMEs to be able to list their products and create their online profiles in compliance with the latest requirements of online marketplaces, especially for the European market.
This training will then be followed later in the year by additional sessions on e-logistics, market research and pricing strategies.
The aim of the Eastern Partnership: Ready to Trade project is to improve the competiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Azerbaijan and other Eastern Partnership countries and to connect them to international and EU markets.
