Sign up for an important conference on public-private dialogue if you are a representative from a Business Support Organisation (BSO) in Georgia.
The event, “Positioning in Advocacy: Public-Private Dialogue for Georgian Economic Development”, is being held in Tbilisi from 3 to 6 April by the East Invest 2 project, part of the EU4Business programme. On 7 April, there will also be a round table on the Georgian business community’s position towards the government and international community.
Representatives from BSOs, business membership associations and SMEs will be able to develop new skills in advocacy during the conference, as well as to offer key points on how to overcome the economic crisis and improve the business climate in the country.
Three days of seminars and workshops will seek to develop a position paper spelling out the concerns of the business community as preparation for future dialogue with the Georgian Government.
Participants will learn how to write a position paper, draft laws, regulations and de-regulation instruments, and persuade public negotiators to accept their proposals.
The final-day round table, which will also receive input from government officials, EU experts and independent analysts, will revolve around n five working groups:
- Investments and Business Environment
- Access to Finance
