A project is being launched in Chisinau on 7 November aimed at boosting visibility and communication around EU support programmes related to implementation of the Association Agreement and Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (AA/DCFTA) between the EU and the Republic of Moldova.

Representatives of the business community, government institutions and other beneficiaries of projects involved in the implementation of the EU-Moldova AA/DCFTA, as well as representatives of the media are invited to attend the event.

The event will be addressed by European Commissioner for Trade Cecilia Malmström and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Octavian Calmac.

The launch ceremony of the project for ‘Visibility and communication for actions related to AA/DCFTA implementation in the framework of the EU-funded assistance programmes’ is organised by the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova and the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure.

Through its EU4Business initiative, the EU supports implementation of the DCFTA by improving access to finance, helping SMEs move into foreign markets and providing training to build up business skills. Specific technical help is available to Moldovan SMEs to make sure they can make the most of the country’s free trade agreement with the EU.
