The Small and Medium Enterprise Development Organization of Moldova is inviting women entrepreneurs to sign up for a series of mentoring courses organised by the European Union-funded Business Academy for Women.
The courses take place across three two-day sessions, on 21-22 March, 28-29 March and 3-4 April. The deadline for registration is 17 March.
The goal of the Business Academy for Women project is to give women the chance to realise their entrepreneurial potential by developing business management skills and facilitating women's access to productive technologies to strengthen and increase the capacity of women-run businesses to maximise their revenue.
Participation in the programme gives women entrepreneurs the opportunity to develop new skills and coordination techniques that can be applied within the enterprise, which will help to develop staff and multiply mentors at the enterprise level.
The purpose of the Mentorated Component is to create a community of entrepreneurial women - mentors who will share knowledge and experiences through effective methods for start-up entrepreneurs and grant beneficiaries within the Business Academy for Women project.
Programme participants will benefit from free mentoring training, enhancing skills in the following areas: mentoring, mentor skills, effective communication, leadership skills development, etc.
The EU also supports women entrepreneurs under its EU4Business initiative with the EBRD Women in Business programme, which helps women-led small and medium-sized enterprises to access the finance and the know-how they need to grow. Under the programme, the EBRD provides access to finance through credit lines to local banks dedicated to women-led SMEs, alongside business advice to help businesses become more competitive. The programme also offers training, mentoring and other support to enable women entrepreneurs to share experiences and learn from each other as peers.
