The deadline for applications is 10 May.
There’s more to creating a successful business than having a good idea or a great talent. The most successful businesses continuously innovate and evolve. One of the key driver for growth is finance. This workshop will help you understand your key financials and how you can use them to better lead your business to growth. Through the four-day training, you will learn:
Why financial planning matters
How to analyse key financial reports
To understand the relationships between costs, revenues and why business fail
To learn more about cost control and cost cutting
How to decide between different sources of financing available
To be aware of key skills in access to finance by practicing pitching your business to investors, including banks, venture capital or business angels.
The course is specially designed for women entrepreneurs by APPLICATIO Training & Management GmbH, and is organised into two training sessions of two days each, with a break in between. This gives you time to test the things you learned in the first session and bring your own lessons learned to the second, and means you don’t need to be away from your business for too long. While the first session concentrates on knowing your finance and planning for your success, covering an introduction to financial planning and financial reports, the second will help you avoid traps and be able to finance your business, looking at how to use leverage and how to avoid common mistakes in financial management.
The course is based on international best practice and expert knowledge. It is targeted at women who want to develop their leadership and entrepreneurial skills and learn how to use innovative tools to give their business a boost. The workshop is interactive and includes practical exercises and real life examples, walking you through enterprise finance from beginning to end. Participants will have the opportunity to hear experiences and advice from guest speakers from financial institutions.
The trainers are all business experts, who have seen the difference that sound financial management can make.
The EU4Business Women in Business programme helps women-led SMEs to access the finance and the know-how they need to grow. Under the programme, the EBRD provides access to finance through credit lines to local banks dedicated to women-led SMEs, alongside business advice to help businesses become more competitive. The programme also offers training, mentoring and other support to enable women entrepreneurs to share experiences and learn from each other.
