On 16 and 17 November, the Lviv Business Support Centre is organising ‘Green Economy Days: the establishment of green economy markets’, a conference hosted with the support of the EBRD as part of the EU4Business initiative.
The topics of the event include:
- Adaptation to EU legislation as a driver for the emergence and development of green economy markets;
- System design. How to design markets and systems;
- Financial incentives and resources for business activation;
- Business and natural capital: responsibility and business opportunities;
- Greening of the Ukrainian economy;
- Illegal forest biomass markets;
- Investors’ view on transparency of green economy markets transparency.
The conference will be interesting for producers of solid biofuels, electricity and heat from biomass, companies which work with solid waste (incl. biogas production), agro-energy companies, manufacturers and sellers of boilers and installations, investors, representatives of municipalities on energy and solid waste management, experts, consultants, project managers and international financial institutions.
“Green economy days”is a platform for the development of business and green economy markets. The event is organised to help participants understand the current state of play and take part in developing the rules of the game in new and existing markets, to become acquainted with successful business cases and business models and to establish new contacts.
The Lviv Business Support Centre is part of the EU-funded Network of Business Support Centres, which aims to improve the competitiveness and bankability of Ukrainian SMEs through the provision of business advice and capacity building. It also supports BSOs in 15 regions of Ukraine in setting up a network of EU4Business Business Support Centres (BSCs). At least 30,000 SMEs and entrepreneurs will benefit from the project.
