A conference on energy saving technologies in business is being organised by the Mykolayiv Business Support Centre on 11 October, as part of the EU4Business initiative supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Ukraine.
The conference – titled ‘Practical implementation of alternative energy and energy saving technologies in business’ – is aimed at local businesses and community representatives. Attendance is free upon registration.
Participants will have the opportunity to meet a leading international energy expert, George Silo, Ph.D, Senior Energy and Strategic Management Adviser at the EBRD, as well as to get acquainted with best practices for introducing energy saving technologies in business.
The conference will help participants to:
- identify the need for alternative energy saving technologies
- understand the impact of the use of alternative energy sources on the final product and service
- obtain current information on the world energy industry, the main technological leaders and the specifics of introducing alternative energy and energy saving technologies at Ukrainian enterprises
- learn about the EBRD's instruments for implementing energy-saving technologies in business.
The working languages of the conference are Ukrainian, Russian and English.
The Mykolayiv Business Support Centre is part of the EU-funded Network of Business Support Centres implemented in Ukraine by the EBRD, which aims to improve the competitiveness and bankability of SMEs through the provision of business advice and capacity building. It also supports BSOs in 15 regions of Ukraine in setting up a network of EU4Business Business Support Centres (BSCs). At least 30,000 SMEs and entrepreneurs benefit from the project.
