Women entrepreneurs are invited to a ‘Going Digital’ training organised by the Ivano-Frankivsk Business Support Centre in Ukraine with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the EU4Business initiative. The training takes place in two parts on 23-24 October and 27-28 November, and the deadline for registration is 17 October.
The training is aimed at women managers or business owners who want to take their company to a new level, by developing their business in the online environment and attracting customers through the Internet.
The Going Digital training is a four-day interactive course, led by two experienced specialists, that will give participants a clear idea of what online marketing is and how it works in practice, and how to apply the theory to the practical requirements of a business, with tools such as websites, social networks and email. The course will help participants successfully position and sell their services or products online.
The first module focuses on marketing as a whole, its importance and how to bring business online, while the second focuses on practical online marketing tools (including e-mail, social network marketing, website etc.). At the same time, participants will have an opportunity to share their experiences in various aspects of business management with other women in business.
The course is part of the EU-funded Women in Business programme, implemented by the EBRD as part of EU4Business, helping women-led SMEs access the finance and the know-how that they need to grow. Under the programme, the EBRD provides access to finance through credit lines to local banks dedicated to women-led SMEs, alongside business advice to help businesses become more competitive. The programme also offers training, mentoring and other support to enable women entrepreneurs to share experiences and learn from each other.
The Ivano-Frankivsk Business Support Centre is part of the EU-funded Network of Business Support Centres, which aims to improve the competitiveness and bankability of Ukrainian SMEs through the provision of business advice and capacity building. It also supports BSOs in 15 regions of Ukraine in setting up a network of EU4Business Business Support Centres (BSCs). At least 30,000 SMEs and entrepreneurs benefit from the project.
