The Lviv Business Support Centre, with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development under the EU4Business initiative, is organising a two-day workshop on ‘Funding for Business’, to take place in Chernivtsi on 11-12 September.
The aim of the workshop is to build up the ability of local SMEs to search for and select available financial instruments for the development of their business.
It is aimed at owners and managers of SMEs that provide high value-added products and services and want to develop their business and raise funds to do so.
The workshop will cover the spectrum of available business financing programmes (grants, loans, funds, etc.), teaching participants about the main financial instruments operating in Ukraine including EU funds, and helping them to understand the process of raising finance.
After completing the training, participants will be provided with four hours of individual mentoring support in choosing the type and form of funding most appropriate to their needs.
The workshop will provide information about available funding tools, especially opportunities that have emerged in recent years through the support of the EU4Business programme. After the workshop, participants should know which tool can be useful for business at certain stages of its development and for what purpose.
The programme includes information on available financing opportunities in Poland, given the interest of Ukrainian companies in setting up units in the EU.
The Lviv Business Support Centre is part of the EU-funded Network of Business Support Centres, which aims to improve the competitiveness and bankability of Ukrainian SMEs through the provision of business advice and capacity building. It also supports BSOs in 15 regions of Ukraine in setting up a network of EU4Business Business Support Centres (BSCs). At least 30,000 SMEs and entrepreneurs will benefit from the project.
