Engineers, experts, consultants for energy efficiency and energy saving are invited to attend a four-day training basic-level workshop in Mykolayiv on Industrial Energy Efficiency, organised by the EBRD within the framework of the EU4Business initiative. The workshop takes place from 18-21 December, and the deadline for registration is 12 December.
The training is a unique opportunity for consultants and top managers who have a direct influence on decision-making for energy saving policy in companies and organisations.
For the first time in Mykolayiv, during four days, four specialists from the leading international consulting and engineering company "LDK Consultants Engineers and Planners" - Costas Theofylaktos, Thomas Filippou, Astghin Pasoyan and Oleksander Ovdiienko will conduct a specially developed intensive training workshop aimed at increasing the standards of implemented energy efficiency projects.
As part of the training workshop, business consultants will be able to:
- enhance their knowledge of energy systems and utilities;
- study key elements of the consulting process and project cycle management;
- estimate and calculate greenhouse gas emissions, conduct energy audits (methodology, process and reporting);
- evaluate capital investments and to analyse their costs, as well as to determine the costs of identified energy efficiency measures.
Attendance of the intensive will help participants to improve their knowledge of energy-efficient technologies and enable them to identify the most relevant solutions for their clients/businesses.
Participants will have additional mentoring sessions within two months after the training.
The training is organised by the Mykolayiv Business Support Centre, part of the EU4Business Network of Business Support Centres, implemented by the EBRD, which aims to improve the competitiveness and bankability of Ukrainian SMEs through the provision of business advice and capacity building. It also supports BSOs in 15 regions of Ukraine in setting up a network of EU4Business Business Support Centres (BSCs). At least 30,000 SMEs and entrepreneurs will benefit from the project.

Participation
The participation fee (taking into account the partial compensation of the EU) is UAH 2,230. The cost of the training includes handouts, coffee breaks and lunches, as well as personal counselling/mentoring sessions within 2 months after the training.
Prior registration is required by 12 December.
The number of places is limited to 15.
