‘Festival Workshop 2018’ is a conference on how to transform events into a profitable business and development opportunity. The Conference takes place in Khmelnytskyi on 24 November, with the support of the EBRD and EU4Business.
The trend for ‘festivals’ has recently intensified in Ukraine, with many brands, regions, and businesses organising events and calling them “festivals”, although they often have a very diverse format.
The Conference’s objective is to form a festival community and share experience on how to transform events into a profitable enterprise that brings in money, invites customers and develops the local economy.
Experienced speakers will explain how to organise interesting, effective and profitable events.
This event includes lectures and the following workshops:
- “Festivals as a factor for business stimulation: which benefits can tourist companies get from promoting festivals?”. Business representatives will consider the ways of attracting more clients through festivals and events.
- “Festivals as an incentive for territorial development: how event tourism can change local economies”. Experienced trainers will tell the public/government representatives how to develop the territory through festivals.
- “Festivals as a business: how to make money at events” for festival organisers.
The Conference is organized by the Khmelnytskyi Business Support Centre, part of the EU-funded Network of Business Support Centres, implemented in Ukraine by the EBRD, with the aim of improving improve the competitiveness and bankability of Ukrainian SMEs through the provision of business advice and capacity building. At least 30,000 SMEs and entrepreneurs will benefit from the project.
