Farmer Boom 2017: agriculture issues in focus at Odessa round table

Agricultural producers from the Odessa region are invited to the ‘Farmer Boom 2017’ round table on 13 November 2017, organised by the Odessa Business Support Centre under the EU4Business initiative.

The discussion will address the challenges of cost and quality of feed and seed materials, difficulties with product sales and small profits, and the search for resources for competitiveness and development.

Participants will hear the suggestions of financial experts, international trade consultants, potential suppliers and buyers, as well as entrepreneurs from other regions of Ukraine who have found their own ways of development.

The main topics for discussion:

  • fundraising for the development of farms;
  • the basis of the competitiveness of farm products;
  • the issue of the farms’ entering export markets;
  • certification of agricultural products for export.
  • the urgency of organic production development.

The Odessa Business Support Centre is part of the EU-funded Network of Business Support Centres, which aims to improve the competitiveness and bankability of Ukrainian SMEs through the provision of business advice and capacity building. It also supports BSOs in 15 regions of Ukraine in setting up a network of EU4Business Business Support Centres (BSCs). At least 30,000 SMEs and entrepreneurs will benefit from the project.
