The EBRD Advice for Small Businesses programme under the EU4Business initiative is inviting consultants in Georgia to submit applications to attend a three-day Export Strategy Development training course from 28-30 November in Tbilisi. The deadline for applications is 12 November.
Participants will commit three full days to attend the training, which has been developed for the EBRD and will be delivered by John Reed, who is Director of Special Projects of the UK Institute of Export.
John Reed has been involved in international sales for more than 30 years: 8 years selling woodworking machinery into North America, West and Southern Africa, the Middle East, and India; and 8 more selling floor covering products throughout Europe and Scandinavia and into Turkey and Russia. He has run his own international trade consultancy since 2002 and has helped companies across industry sectors to access many more export markets.
The training course fee is GEL 420 and the course will be held in the Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel in Tbilisi. The price includes training hand-out materials, refreshments and a follow-up consulting /coaching or additional workshop session provided two months after the course. The course will be delivered in English.
The training is part of the EBRD’s EU-funded Advice for Small Businesses programme under the EU4Business initiative. The programme aims to promote good management in the SME sector by providing technical assistance to individual enterprises, helping them to grow their businesses. The programme also seeks to enable SMEs to access local consulting services on a cost-sharing basis, and aims to develop a sustainable infrastructure of business advisory services, ensuring improved services for SMEs across the Eastern Partnership region.
