Small and medium-sized companies from Azerbaijan will take part in an export quality management workshop on 1 May in Baku. The training is organised by the International Trade Centre’s EU4Business Ready to Trade project in partnership with AzPromo.

The workshop aims to help small-scale exporters to better understand technical market requirements and voluntary standards applicable in international markets. The participants will learn how to effectively use available online sources to identify and filter market access requirements, prepare their products for international export and comply with standards.

By the end of the training the participants will be equipped to develop an action plan for their products to get an international certification.

During the workshop, SMEs will also get to know several key standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and ISO 31000, as well as voluntary standards. By learning more about market requirements, exporters will be able to access new international markets and boost their sales.

The one-day training will be conducted by two international specialists, Khemraj Ramful, Senior Adviser on Export Quality Management of ITC and Ludovica Ghizzoni, Adviser on Enterprise Value Chain, ITC.

The Ready to Trade project, funded by the European Union’s EU4Business initiative, aims to help small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) from Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries integrate into global value chains and access new markets with a focus on the European Union (EU).
