From Entrepreneur to Enterprise: training for women in business in Kramatorsk

The Business Support Centre in the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk is inviting women entrepreneurs to take part in an EU4Business training entitled ‘From Entrepreneur to Enterprise. Corporate Governance for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises’ The training is divided into two modules, on 9-10 October and 6-7 November 2017.

The training is part of the EU-funded Women in Business programme, implemented by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

The course is specifically designed for women in business and consists of two training modules of two days each, with a break between them. Participants will have time to apply in practice the knowledge gained during the first session and prepare questions for the second session.

The course is based on international best practices but tailored to local particularities with in-depth expert knowledge. The training is interactive, and includes practical exercises and realistic examples with practical tips and leadership styles.

This course will help participants to:

  • Understand at what stage of development their business currently stands
  • Determine which style of corporate culture and which values are the most suitable to meet the needs of the organisation
  • Improve organisational skills
  • Identify the weaknesses of their business management, find room for improving internal processes
  • Find the optimal organisational structure for the business
  • Exchange experiences in various aspects with other female entrepreneurs

The training will be conducted by two experienced coaches accredited by the EBRD.

The EBRD’s Women in Business programme helps women-led SMEs to access the finance and the know-how they need to grow. Under the programme, the EBRD provides access to finance through credit lines to local banks dedicated to women-led SMEs, alongside business advice to help businesses become more competitive. The programme also offers training, mentoring and other support to enable women entrepreneurs to share experiences and learn from each other.

The Lviv Business Support Centre is part of the EU4Business Network of Business Support Centres, which aims to improve the competitiveness and bankability of Ukrainian SMEs through the provision of business advice and capacity building. It supports BSOs in 15 regions of Ukraine in setting up a network of EU4Business Business Support Centres (BSCs). At least 30,000 SMEs and entrepreneurs will benefit from the project.

With the support of EU4Business, participants pay only part of the training fee. The reduced fee for the four-day training is UAH 3,085, which includes the cost of hand-out materials, light breakfast, coffee breaks and lunch.
