The mayors of the three Ukrainian cities that topped the recent Regional Doing Business Survey 2018 will present the advantages of their cities as part of ‘RED PM DAY 2018’ the second National Forum on construction project management taking place in Kyiv on 23 November.
The “Regional Doing Business 2018” rating was prepared for the second year by the Better Regulation Delivery Office (BRDO) and the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs (SUP).
The regions were assessed using the World Bank’s methodology adapted for a survey of domestic entrepreneurs. The research was focused on 6 areas of interaction between entrepreneurs and government, namely: starting a business; paying local taxes; obtaining construction permits; registering a plot of land for real estate purposes; connecting to electricity networks and the quality of electronic services.
A session of RED PM DAY(Real Estate Development Project Management Day) will be devoted to the “City Invest Battle”, where the mayors of the three most progressive cities – Vinnytsya, Chernihiv and Zhytomyr – willhighlight the attractiveness and willingness of their cities to compete for investment and projects within the construction industry, as one of the key drivers of the economy.
The BRDO is funded by the European Union within the framework of the FORBIZ project and the EU4Business Initiative, with the aim of simplifying the process of doing business and providing effective state regulation in key sectors of the economy.
