The EU4Business Ready to Trade project implemented by the International Trade Centre (ITC) together with the government of Azerbaijan is organising a roundtable on trade logistics in Azerbaijan on Wednesday, 24 July in Baku. The roundtable is part of a study carried out by the Ready to Trade project to identify logistic solutions for trade in the country, including e-trade.

With the aim of facilitating SME exports to the European Union market and to advance country’s transit potential, as well as collect feedback from key national stakeholders, participants in the Roundtable will discuss the state of trade logistics in Azerbaijan and preliminary recommendations developed by the ITC on how and what can be improved.

The one-day event will take place at the Holiday Inn, Baku. High level speeches will be followed by a moderated discussing with business and public sector representatives.

The Ready to Trade project aims to help small and medium sized enterprises in Azerbaijan and other Eastern Partnership countries integrate into global value chains and access new markets with a focus on the European Union.

In Azerbaijan, the project assists SMEs from agro-processing and handicraft sectors in producing value-added goods which meet international and EU market requirements and helps link them with buyers from international markets. The project is financed by the European Union under the EU4Business initiative.
